Aryan Eagle was one of an appalling number of non-copyrighted Nazi supervillains whom the Man in Grey inadvertently left on a list of possible candidates for employment at the Multidimensional Finders Service until Jenny Over-There pointed them out to him. The Man in Grey had preciously misread his name as the innocuous, if meaningless “a Rian Eagle”. (PROSE: Open Sourcing)
Behind the scenes
Aryan Eagle was created in December 2014 on the Free Universe Forum by Brandon Longstreth as an open-source character. Using the character does not require a disclaimer. The character concept was described as follows:
John Fairhurst was a common criminal, felon, and member of the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang. After his parole he was approached by a group of racist billionaires to be a candidate for superhuman genetic trials. After his transformation into Aryan Eagle he began attacking non-white superhumans, hero and villain alike, including his arch-nemesis Ibex. He has been arrested and escaped multiple times from superhuman prisons. He has become a powerful tool for recruiting superhumans to the Aryan Brotherhood and other white supremacist groups. |
