Castle Frankenstein was a castle which existed in several universes. In some, where the story of Frankenstein's Monster was fictional, it simply served as inspiration for the tale, while in some of the universes where the Monster and its creator were very real, it was the ancestral home of Frankenstein.

In the Prime Universe

According to Sherlock Holmes, in his universe, Castle Frankenstein was located in Darmstadt, Germany, and Victor von Frankenstein was an unrelated fictional character. The Castle was abandoned in the 18th century. By 1895, Holmes had seen engravings of the castle, which looked smaller than the one he visited in another universe thanks to Pythagoras-858.
