The Collective of the Retconning Crocodiles owned literal plot armour, which they donned during the race for the Frost King's treasure in the mountains of Manik. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure)

Behind the scenes

“Plot armour” is a colourful term for the concept of fictional characters' de facto invulnerability in early stages of a plot, allowing them to survive arbitrarily dangerous situations by authorial fiat because their survival is a narrative necessity.
