In one universe, Tex Tyler was a grumpy neighbour to the Koala Bay Bares Naturist Resort.

Disapproving of nudism, he spent most of his time trying to formulate improbable schemes to get them to leave the area, up to and including sneaking inside the camp without having to actually expose himself thanks to a full-body latex suit. Loxie and Zoot, the owners of the Resort, deemed him the closest thing they had to an archnemesis, although he was more of an “arch-pain-in-the-neck”; Jenny Everywhere described him as “pathetic-evil instead of evil-evil”.

Around the time of Jenny's first visit to Koala Bay, Tyler deployed his latest scheme: disguising himself as a vengeful specter to scare the nudists away. However, Jenny spotted him getting out of his costume at the end of his first nightly performance. At her suggestion, the other Koala Bay Bares residents disguised themselves as ghosts as well and greeted Tyler as such the next night, claiming that they had come to bring their “wayward brother” back to the Underworld. In terror, Tyler cast off his disguise and ran for his life. (COMIC: Ghost Story)

Behind the scenes

Tex Tyler was one of the main characters of the webcomics Loxie & Zoot and The Bare Pit. His profile on the official Bare Pit cast list read:

A neighbour and long time nemesis of the Koala Bay Bares. Tex is no fan of Loxie, Zoot or any other "nudies" and has, in past Loxie & Zoot stories, concocted a number of unsuccessful schemes to close them down. Mostly notably he has disguised himself as a nudist named "Sven", pretended to be a ghost and has also tried to frame Loxie and Zoot for theft. Tex has been lying low so far and hardly been seen at all in The Bare Pit. But who knows - that may change!
