The name of Camelot was often ascribed to the castle of King Arthur.
In at least one universe, however, the castle was not actually named that, instead being located in Caerleon. The idea that it was called “Camelot” was a misconception based on mishearing a line used by Taliesin in many of his ballads about the Knights of the Round Table: “In Caerleon, to the Castle, came a lot of strange people”.
