Dats were an animal species native to the two-dimensional universe known as the Euclidean Plane.
They were the smallest observable life-form in the Euclidean Plane, appearing as little more than living dots. As such, they were individually harmless. However, swarms of dot had the ability to adopt more complex gestalt shapes. (PROSE: The Euclidean Plane) For example, when wishing to traverse bodies of water, Dat swarms sometimes adopted “tapered cylindrical formations” which were the closest thing to fish in the Euclidean Plane. (PROSE: Multiversal Mischief) It was also possible for a group Dats to permanently merge together into a Linea or an Ambagesque. Some believed that a sufficiently great number of Dats could hypothetically recombine into a sapient Geometron, although this was controversial.
Dats were often considered pests by Geometrons, but some kept them as pets in terrariums. (PROSE: The Euclidean Plane)
