It was a spin-off from Dijkhuis's earlier ''[[Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan]]'', focusing on the adventures of the [[fairy]] [[Abúi]] travelling through [[the Multiverse]]. This frequently resulted in crossovers with other webcomics. The first such crossover, [[COMIC]]: ''[[Incognito (comic story)|Incognito]]'', featuring Abúi interacting with the setting of ''[[The Bare Pit]]'', was in continuity with the [[Ghost Story (comic story)|earlier Jenny Everywhere/''The Bare Pit'' crossover]], with Jenny being discussed at some length. Though first released on the ''Bare Pit'' website in 2006, an updated version of ''Incognito'' was later included as a prologue to ''Abúi's Travels'' proper during the independent ''Abúi's Travels'' website's launch in 2012.
